I know I said I would write a blog every week but it is just so hard to keep up with it when you are running out of things to talk about. Yes, me running out of things to talk about? imagine that. Since it has been quite awhile and I know there are alot of my fans out there probably going through kaylee's blog withdrawals, I'll write one about my summer thus far and save you all.
There is really nothing too exciting happening with my summer at all. Im not going on any extravagant trips half way around the world :,( even an over night camping trip seems out of reach at this point. Mostly I have been working at that lovely old chip factory, Frito Lay Canada, boxing chips so they can be delivered to stores near you. I actually dont mind working there, I know I complain about it alot but honestly its not that bad at all. I have friends there, 6/7ths out of my family works there hahaha, I work mostly day shift (7-3) and I get paid pretty good for the work that I do. As sad as this might sound, I might actually be quitting Frito Lay soon for when I get back to school this september. :(. For 3 years I have usually worked weekends while I was going to school so I could make extra cash but this year I am a little bit worried because I am in university!!!!! I just want to focus on school because its gonna be a bit harder and I am a bit overwelmed being in university and all. plus I want to have a social life as well and actually start going to church! I probably wont know what to do with myself because I havent had my weekends free for like 3 years!!! I just hope that I wont be burried in all my papers and I will actually be able to go out and have some fun. The cons of this: I will have to take out student loans and will probably spend the rest of my life trying to pay them back. I will just have to be very careful since thats what I will be living off of till april when Frito Lay will hire me back as a seasonl employee (fingers crossed). I took out like 3 grand the first year I went to college and well Hawaii was amazing and I bought a lot of adorable things to look absolutely amazing for college... hahaha maybe I will be camping sooner then I think lol. eep! Its not like I cant get a little walmart cashier job or something if I am really hurting for money. K I have to stop talking about work, im there 40 + hours a week and I spend the rest talking about it, its exhausting and its my day off. I should actually be looking for a place to live right now. My lease is up at the end of august and I havent found a place to live while im going to school. No offense, I dont want to move back home. I know it would be way cheaper but I drive a pig on gas of a vehicle and I refuse to sell it and go back to a car. And travelling to the West side everyday would be the same as rent would be anyway, so it makes sense to just stay in Leth. Maybe I'll just live in my truck. There problems solved. If everything could work out perfectly I would find a cheap, 1 bedroom place to live that allows pets so I can get a kitten or a pet snake or something.
Now that I have been rambling on about my plans after summer or whatever I was talking about haha I'm gonna talk about the fun things I have done or will do this summer. I have done a couple day trips to Waterton and Writing on stone. I have to say Writing on stone is one of my favorite places to go in Alberta! climbing the hoodoos are so much fun and a great work out! I wish i could post some pics but I just got a new camera and for some reason I am having a bit of trouble uploading some pics so you will just have to wait until they reach facebook.
August is going to be a really busy month for me, worrying about going to school, tuition, kara's wedding, student loans, moving AHHHHH! Im freaking out just thinking about it all. I am actually excited about kara's wedding. I just tried on my bridesmaid dress the other day and I do say I look ravishing in it. hahaa I just need to grow some boobs by august 20th. I have been a flower girl at a wedding before but never a bridesmaid so Im excited. Alot of my friends are getting married this summer which is really weird to think. Like am I at this age already? Like people that were in my high school grade are already married and having children! At first I was jealous of everyone and thought there was something wrong with me but I just have to keep in mind that I'm only 22 and although I am in my prime and my biological clock is ticking I have more then enough time to settle down and pop out a couple children. Another thing I am excited about this summer is finally meeting corey's family! his grandma is coming down from Nova Scotia early august so it will be nice to meet her and I dont know when his parents are coming but hopefully I will meet them soon too. I have been happily dating that cute boy's face for 6 months now and he is awesome.
Like I said, I dont have any real cool trips lined up this summer. I was planning on going to vegas with a couple friends right after kara's wedding but I dont think that is going to happen anymore now that I am as poor as a church mouse. I wish I could go back to the days where I didnt work and I went to the stirling pool everyday and went camping with the family to Elk water every year. I dont know if I can pick out my favorite summer but I have thousands of great summer memories camping with my family. Now that we are all older its hard for everyone to get off work and pack up and leave :( I remember going camping this one time though. we had this little red truck and we hooked up our tent trailer and away we went. All us kids were in the back of the truck with the topper on and we made this big bed with a mattress and just layed back there the whole way talking and laughing, just all excited about camping. That was really fun. I guess I do have a favorite camping trip. One time my family went camping with another family we were really good friends with. It was alot of fun because my best friend came with and we got to hang out the entire time. I remmeber this really long bike ride we went on. Kara and her friend, me and my friend and both our dads went on this long journey and although there were alot of falls and scrapes and bruises it was alot of fun. I like hiking and biking and all that fun jazz. Boating is another one of my favorite summer activities. I have never tried wakeboarding but I really want to. The boat that we have only pulls tubes but its still fun. I havent gone yet this year but when we do its always a great time. We have this knee board we found at the dump haha and its my favorite boating toy. I like to try and stand up on it SO MUCH FUN!
Anyway I should probably do something productive for the rest of the day. hopefully it wont be too long since I write another one of these things. I hope this will do until something interesting actually happens to me this summer. so until next time Peace!
